Membership Benefits

There are significant benefits to taking part in FIDO Alliance as a member, whether your company is a vendor looking to bring FIDO-based solutions to market or a service provider seeking to understand the most effective ways to deploy FIDO authentication to your customers and/or employees.

Benefits vary according to membership level, but core value propositions include:

  • Access and influence on FIDO’s specifications. By taking part in FIDO’s technical working groups, members have the ability to shape and have early visibility into FIDO’s technical output – which can help accelerate product and service development.
  • Establish best practices for deployment of FIDO authentication. FIDO’s Deployment Working Groups are tasked with identifying common requirements and best practices for deploying FIDO authentication to billions of end users around the world. Taking part in these working groups enables your team to get peer-based feedback to aid with your own implementations, while also creating an opportunity to have your company’s vision reflected in FIDO’s deployment guidelines and related publications.
  • Engage in Member Sponsorship and Co-Marketing Opportunities. Take advantage of member-only co-marketing opportunities and early access to broader industry opportunities. As the world continues to move to FIDO standards for user authentication, the Alliance is dedicated to fostering and promoting a vibrant, global ecosystem by providing a variety of supportive marketing programs for its members.
  • Support global regulatory engagement. FIDO Alliance recognizes the critical role that global governments and regulators play in enabling widespread deployment of passkeys – both in private and public sectors. In addition to the Alliance’s Government Deployment Working Group, FIDO maintains an active policy engagement activity. Members can take part in this to understand how FIDO’s protocols fit into the evolving regulatory landscape and also to engage directly with key regulatory bodies around the world.
