A Vendor ID is a unique identifier assigned by FIDO to each company implementing a UAF Authenticator. It may also be referred to within the FIDO specifications as the AAID, or Authenticator Attestation ID.
A company with a UAF Authenticator implementation must register for a Vendor ID to complete the Conformance Self-Validation Testing step of Functional Certification. Please visit the Conformance Self-Validation Testing page to learn more. Companies with U2F, UAF Servers, or UAF Clients do not need a Vendor ID.
Unless otherwise requested during registration, Vendor IDs will be publically listed on this page as they are assigned. A Confidential Vendor ID can be requested and the Vendor ID will remain confidential until Functional Certification using the Vendor ID is made public.
