FIDO Tokyo Seminar: Toward a World Without Passwords
December 5, 2025 @ 12:00 pm – 7:00 pm Tokyo

“Passkeys as a Countermeasure Against Phishing – Latest Trends and Insights”
As the demand grows for authentication methods that do not rely on traditional passwords, the FIDO Alliance continues to promote both security and usability by standardizing specifications and certification programs for simple and robust authentication technologies based on public key cryptography.
This year, the 12th FIDO Tokyo Seminar will be held in person under the theme:
“Effectiveness of Passkeys as a Countermeasure Against Phishing and the Latest Trends.”
Following the strong momentum generated at last year’s 11th FIDO Tokyo Seminar toward the adoption of passkeys, this year’s event will further accelerate that movement by delivering more practical and actionable content.
We are honored to welcome Masanori Kusunoki, Director-General of the Digital Social Common Functions Group at the Digital Agency of Japan, as our keynote speaker. He will share insights on digital identity, the importance of identity verification and authentication, and the latest initiatives led by the Digital Agency.
The seminar will also feature updates on the current status of passkey support by major platform providers, the activities of the FIDO Alliance and FIDO Japan Working Group, and presentations from member companies and government agencies—both domestic and international—on their efforts to implement and promote passkeys.
In addition, panel sessions will explore the benefits and future outlook of passkey adoption, helping organizations that are considering implementation to gain a deeper understanding of its impact and potential.
This seminar offers a valuable opportunity for companies and organizations interested in adopting passkeys to gain the latest information and practical insights. We look forward to your participation.
