FIDO study shows: passwords to be replaced by better alternatives in the next few years
A study conducted by the FIDO Alliance (Fast IDentity Online) and LastPass shows that passwords in companies will largely be replaced by secure alternatives in the next few years. According to the survey, most IT executives believe that by 2028, less than 25 percent of logins will be through passwords. Already, 95 percent of respondents are using passwordless alternatives such as passkeys to increase security. The majority of IT managers plan to manage passkeys via third-party password managers.
