Webinar: Latest Passkeys Use Case Introduction: Consumer & Workforce

March 26 @ 12:00 pm 1:00 pm Japan/JST

Webinar Presented in Japanese Only

Overview

Amid growing demand for new authentication mechanisms that do not rely on traditional passwords, the FIDO Alliance is working to achieve both security and convenience by formulating specifications for simple and robust authentication technology that utilizes public key cryptography, standardizing certification programs, and promoting its widespread adoption.

Phishing-resistant FIDO authentication is finally reaching the stage of widespread adoption as a passkey, and can be used to log in to services provided by many domestic companies and for payment services. Passkeys, which Apple, Google, and Microsoft announced they would support in 2022, are now available on all major platforms, and passkeys provided by credential manager providers have increased user choice and freedom, so it is expected that login and authentication using passkeys will accelerate even further.

This time, we will be holding the first webinar in Japan on March 26, 2025, titled “Latest Passkeys Use Case Introduction: Consumer & Workforce”.

This webinar is hosted by the FIDO Alliance and sponsored by International Systems Research Co. (ISR) and domestic member companies. Nikkei Inc. will give a presentation on the introduction of passkey authentication function for Nikkei ID, and KCON will give a presentation on the in-house use of passkeys in the manufacturing industry.
