CNET: Google looks to leave passwords behind for a billion Android devices

Unveiled at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona: Android passwords could one day go the way of the floppy disk since Android is now FIDO2-certified. This means its devices can use fingerprints and security keys for logging in to accounts instead of passwords.
