June 8 @ 8:00 am June 12 @ 5:00 pm EDT

Registration is now open for the FIDO Alliance User Authentication Interoperability Testing Event. Please review the Event Overview below for important dates and participation requirements. Questions and required files should be directed to FIDO Certification via certification@fidoalliance.org.

May 14-29, 2026 – To participate, please complete the Event Registration Form and ensure that the below items are on file and complete with FIDO Certification.

  • Self-Asserted Conformance Test results: Please use the latest version of the official FIDO Alliance Test Tools (v1.8.5). You may request test tool access here. Upon successful completion of all required tests, results can be submitted to FIDO Certification.
  • FIDO Certification Non-disclosure Agreement: This agreement is required to protect all test participants’ confidential information. Note that we cannot accept modifications to this Agreement.

June 1-3, 2026 – Participants will prepare for pre-testing by submitting all authenticator metadata and server links to FIDO Certification. Submission of these items is now available through the event registration form.

  • Authenticator participants – send metadata to FIDO Certification. The Certification Secretariat will coordinate and share with all server participants.
  • Server participants – send your server link to FIDO Certification and be sure to download and implement the mandatory interop test app here.

June 3-7, 2026 – We will open pre-testing on June 3. The announcement will include access to metadata, server links, and participant contact information for troubleshooting. Please copy FIDO Certification on all participant correspondence.

  • Servers must load all metadata. Metadata is often revised during pre-testing, so please monitor correspondence for such announcements.
  • Authenticators will be tested using participating server links in 3 browsers (typically a mix between Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox). Once you have successfully tested using all server links, you will schedule your proctored session.

June 8-12, 2026 – Proctored test sessions will take place this week via Google Meet (calendar booking link to be shared).

  • Server participants do not need to schedule a session but must maintain availability until all proctored test sessions are completed.
  • Each participating authenticator implementation will require a two-hour testing session. Please ensure you book enough time to test each of your products.
