미국 국가안보국(NSA)의 전직 해커인 존 사빈(John Sabin)은 FIDO 보안 키를 사용하는 Google의 고급 보호 프로그램(Advanced Protection Program)이 “대중을 위한 가장 쉽고 안전한 다중 요소”라고 말했고, 뉴욕 타임즈는 더 강력한 인증을 위해 “많은 사람들이 보안 시스템에 가입하고 한 쌍의 키를 구입하는 것을 고려해야 한다”고 말했다.
