웹 인증(WebAuthn이라고도 함)은 많은 기술 대기업이 이미 사용하고 있다는 점을 감안할 때 한동안 암호 없는 웹 로그인에 대한 사실상의 표준이었지만 이제는 공식화되었다고 Engadget은 보고합니다. 월드 와이드 웹 컨소시엄(World Wide Web Consortium)과 FIDO Alliance )는 웹 인증 API를 최종 확정하여 자격 증명을 입력하는 것보다 잠재적으로 더 안전하고 편리하게 계정에 로그인할 수 있는 옵션을 만들었습니다.
