SUMMARY:FIDO User Authentication Interop Testing Event
DESCRIPTION:Registration is now available for the FIDO User Authentication Interop event for those certifying an authenticator and/or server against CTAP2.3\, CTAP2.1\, CTAP2.0 or UAF1.2.  \n\n\n\nEvent Details \n\n\n\nTest Session Dates: March 30 – April 3\, 2026 \n\n\n\nSelf-Conformance Test Tool Results due by: March 27\, 2026 \n\n\n\nAuthenticator Metadata Sharing and Loading: March 13 – March 20\, 2026 \n\n\n\nAuthenticator Pre-testing: March 23 – March 27\, 2026 \n\n\n\nIncluded Protocols: FIDO2 (CTAP v2.3/v2.1/v2.0) and UAF (v1.1/v1.2)   \n\n\n\nEvent Location: Remote Attendance(FIDO Certification will be conducting testing during Pacific Standard Time business hours as a preference\, and we can work to accommodate all time zones\, as necessary.) \n\n\n\nPlease be sure to complete the following steps (#1-4) to participate in the interoperability test event. \n\n\n\n\nSuccessfully complete self-conformance testing by means of using the official FIDO Alliance Test Tool. Successful results from the test tool will be required to participate in the Interoperability event. You will be granted access to the official self-conformance test tool right after you complete your online test tool registration. Please use the latest version (v1.8.0) of the test tools. \n\n\n\nIf not already completed by your company\, complete a FIDO Certification Non-disclosure Agreement. This agreement is required to protect all test participants’ confidential information. If not already completed\, it must be completed and submitted to certification@fidoalliance.org when completing your event registration.\n\n\n\nRegister before March 20th.\n\n\n\nSubmit self-conformance test results by March 27\, 2026.\n\n\n\nPre-testing is strongly recommended. (Interop Pre-testing\, including participant contact information\, server URLs\, and authenticator metadata\, will be shared after registration closes\, usually the Tuesday/Wednesday before the event.).\n\n\n\nFollowing successful functional testing (conformance and interop testing)\, servers are prompted to complete a certification request\, and authenticators proceed to the security certification step. Authenticators are required to either submit a Level 1 (L1) Vendor Questionnaire for security evaluation or contract a FIDO Accredited Security Lab to complete Level 1+ or higher security evaluation.

SUMMARY:Fraud Fight Cub | Kill the Password: Lessons from the Front Lines of Passkey Deployments
DESCRIPTION:Deep Dive: \n\n\n\nFor decades\, passwords have been the cornerstone of digital authentication. Today\, they are a primary vector for fraud—powering phishing and massive credential-stuffing attacks—and a significant source of customer friction. \n\n\n\nIn this session\, FIDO’s Executive Director & CEO Andrew Shikiar and leaders from the world’s largest financial institutions move beyond the technical specs to discuss the “Why” and “How” of Passkeys. We will examine why passkeys are a definitive upgrade for both customer experience and security\, and how to navigate internal stakeholder hurdles to achieve a successful multi-platform rollout. \n\n\n\n\nLearn More
