Brett McDowell, Executive Director, FIDO Alliance
Brett McDowell is FIDO Alliance’s executive director, the organization he helped establish in 2012 to remove the world’s dependency on passwords through open standards for strong authentication. Previously, he was head of ecosystem security at PayPal, where he developed strategies and launched initiatives to improve internet security. Mr. McDowell has extensive experience leading cybersecurity coalitions, having held various leadership roles in NSTIC IDESG, DMARC.org, M3AAWG, NCSA, StopBadWare.org, Kantara Initiative, and Liberty Alliance. Mr. McDowell is a fellow at the National Center for Digital Government at UMASS and serves on the Boston Federal Reserve Bank’s Mobile Payments Industry Workgroup.
Thanh-Ha Nguyen, Client Implementation Leader, Visa ID Intelligence, Visa
Thanh-Ha Nguyen is the Client Implementation Leader for the Visa ID Intelligence product at Visa. In her current role, she is responsible for building out the client training and onboarding programs for the Identity Documents, Biometrics, User Data, and Device Data services, as well as working with Visa clients developing biometric solutions for consumer authentication during payments. Ms. Nguyen has a background in technical product management and computer science.
