Edge computing and IoT devices are a fundamental part of many systems, whether in the world of manufacturing, retail, medical or automotive. In all these systems there is a key moment in their creation in which the device is ‘onboarded’ to its management platform. This onboarding or provisioning is often handled manually or with proprietary solutions that rely on legacy approaches that lack efficiency and security – often relying on passwords and other knowledge-based credentials. The FIDO Alliance has developed a new, open standard, FIDO Device Onboard (FDO), that automatically and securely onboards devices, whether in a closed system or when connecting to a cloud. Attend this in-person event (for free!) and hear from how leaders in edge computing and IoT, including Dell, Intel, ASRock, Red Hat and others have developed, applied, and used FDO in their solutions.
Speakers from Dell, Intel, Microsoft, Infineon and more to be confirmed soon.
