FIDO Seminar in Japan

12월 9, 2022 @ 12:00 오후 7:30 오후 JST

To a world without passwords

Multi-device compatible FIDO authentication credentials (passkey) – The latest trends

While there is a demand for a new authentication mechanism that does not rely on conventional passwords, the FIDO Alliance to achieve both security and convenience by formulating and certifying specifications for simple and robust authentication technology that utilizes public key cryptography. We are striving to standardize and disseminate the program.

FIDO authentication, which is resistant to phishing, has finally reached the stage of full-scale penetration, and FIDO authentication can be used for login and payment services provided by many domestic companies. Major browsers such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari already support FIDO2/Web authentication, and the use of FIDO authentication in various environments is expanding.

Support for passkeys announced by Apple, Google, and Microsoft this year is expected to make FIDO authentication easier to use from the end of this year to next year.

While FIDO authentication is attracting more attention than ever before as an online authentication that is resistant to phishing, we are pleased to announce that “~The latest trends centered on multi-device compatible FIDO authentication credentials (passkeys) for a world without passwords~” ”, the 9th FIDO Seminar in Japan will be held at a real venue.

In this seminar, as the latest status of FIDO authentication, we plan to introduce the status of Passkeys support by major platformers, the activities of the FIDO Alliance and FIDO Japan WG, and introduction cases of FIDO authentication at domestic and overseas member companies. I’m here. In addition, we plan to communicate the effects of the introduction of FIDO Authentication through panel sessions and other means, in order to deepen the understanding of those who are considering introducing FIDO Authentication as the recognition of FIDO Authentication is increasing. .

In addition, at this seminar, which will be held face-to-face for the first time since 2019, we will provide opportunities for networking with visitors and demo exhibitions by sponsor companies. FIDO Alliance original goods are also available, so we are looking forward to your visit.
