Beyond Passwords: Strong Authentication Seminar & Developer Workshop – Silicon Valley
January 19, 2018 All day

The FIDO Alliance invites you to learn about key trends in strong authentication, and to get hands-on with the emerging FIDO2 project specifications, including the Web Authentication API for browsers from the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium). This free seminar will be held January 19 at the Westin San Francisco Airport Hotel. During the seminar, you will get expert perspectives from companies that have led real-world FIDO deployments, discussions on related initiatives and technologies, as well as business and technical considerations for FIDO’s approach to simple, stronger authentication.
Two Educational Tracks: A(doption) & B(uild)
Track A(doption): Join us for an in-depth look at FIDO Authentication as you develop the business case to either build or deploy. Case studies will provide a real-world perspective on why and how companies have integrated FIDO authentication into their security protocols. Sessions will also include a detailed look at the global authentication ecosystem and regulatory environment.
Track B(uild): This event will also feature FIDO’s first-ever developer workshop including hands-on education with the WebAuthn APIs. Specifically, attendees will be guided through the entire process of writing an application using a browser’s WebAuthn APIs and will also be instructed on how to install a server, how to generate authentication challenges & responses, and how to integrate with related IAM infrastructure. A full list of hardware, software and configuration requirements will be sent to attendees upon registration.
