2023 FIDO Alliance Biometric Meet Up – Korea

The FIDO Alliance aims to develop more convenient and powerful online authentication standard technology that does not require passwords and establish a global ecosystem. To this end, the Alliance will hold a meet up in Korea to share the latest trends in biometric authentication and related global testing and certification programs.

As part of their efforts to strengthen internal information access control in the domestic financial sector, Korean financial authorities are discussing the mandatory adoption of FIDO-based biometric authentication. Additionally, the Korea National Intelligence Service is promoting the basic implementation of FIDO-based biometric authentication in the public sector.
