Design System

The FIDO Alliance Design System is an adaptable collection of UX principles, journeys, patterns, content, and UI Kit (a Figma file) created by the FIDO Alliance. Product designers, product managers, and engineers use it to kick-start their FIDO projects. This is version 1.0 of the FIDO Design System and it’ll be updated once a year or more.

UX research

In 2021 and 2022 the FIDO Alliance produced two sets of FIDO UX Guidelines. Each are about 20 pages. They’re the result of formal usability research conducted by BLINK UX, a third-party UX research firm, in collaboration with the FIDO Alliance UX Task Force and UX Committee. The FIDO Design System de-constructs these documents into dozens of reusable components — like Lego blocks — that can be used to help build almost any FIDO experience.
