Apple iOS 26 has landed, and it includes support for FIDO Alliance Credential Exchange standards to enable secure, end-to-end encrypted transfers of passkeys, passwords and other credentials across platforms and apps. A release from large open-source login management service Bitwarden says it is “among the first credential managers on iOS 26 to implement the Credential Exchange standards, helping lead passkey and password portability with a secure, standardized way for users to move credentials between Apple Passwords, Bitwarden and other compatible services.”
